What made you decide on Los Rios and Riley Wilderness park for your engagement session?
After visiting Los Rios, we loved the old town feel of the area. During our first visit to Los Rios, we would walk around and picture how our shoot would turn out if we used the area. We thought that the railroad and the brick wall would be a great background for our photos. Christopher and his assistant exceeded our expectations. We never visited Riley Wilderness park, we knew we wanted to do a photo shoot with nature. We both have always loved being outside and going on hikes and such, so it made sense for us to have a photo shoot with a nature feel.
What was the one thing you were worried about most before the shoot?
Our outfits were definitely one of the things we were worried most about. It was very hard for us to coordinate outfits. For example, we both didn’t want to wear print or both wear dark/light colors. It definitely took us a couple trips to the mall (several different malls) to finally find outfits that made us both feel comfortable.
Did the engagement session make you more comfortable in front of the camera?
Yes, the engagement shoot definitely made us more comfortable. We didn’t really know what to expect because we don’t even like taking photos with our iPhones! But we felt very relaxed during the photo shoot and actually had a ton of fun. And I definitely think that showed through our photos.
What advice can you give to future couples planning their engagement session?
Just to have fun! And your genuine joy and happiness will be captured (:
